Front Loader Door Wont Lock

Front loader door wont lock. The washer control may not unlock the door if the water level pressure switch indicates the washer is still full of water. Less likely causes are a problem with the wiring or the main electronic control board. Child lock also will lock the door on some models like front loaders. In some cases the metal rod which is designed to hold the locking latch in the right position falls out.
The door latch will most likely be part dc34 00024b or. The door lock can fail either mechanically or electrically. Locate the washer door latch and look to see if it is broken or cracked. If you find the door latch to be broken you will need to order a new one.
This is why the door won t block. If it will not lock or unlock then i would think it was the door latch that is the problem. Front load washing machines have several benefits. Once the water is gone the door will unlock.
If the door lock is defective the washer door will not latch properly. If the door lock is damaged or does not latch properly replace it. If the washing machine latch won t close most often something is preventing it from closing. To check it simply touch and test its strength.

If the washer will not unlock at the end of a wash cycle unplug the washer or disconnect power. Typically if the door lock is the problem you will hear a loud click like it is trying to lock but it doesn t.
