Craftsman Garage Door Opener Not Working Properly
If the garage door opener is not powered up it won t work.
Craftsman garage door opener not working properly. So get a ladder and place it under the opener. Unplug the garage door opener from the socket outlet and plug in another device. I can understand how important it is to have your garage door opener working properly. Safety sensors are not installed connected or wires may be cut.
The garage door opener will not close and the light s will flash. Then look to see if the rollers are in working order. The first thing you want to check is the socket your craftsman opener is connected to. They need to have a clear line of sight between them in order for the door to work properly.
If the sending sensor with the amber led is not lit check the wire and connections for that sensor. Inspect sensor wires for a disconnected or cut wire s. Replace them if they are too rusty or have damage beyond repair. This will prevent the door from working.
You could have an intermittent wiring problem or a failure in the control board. Safety sensors are the electronic eyes near the base of the door track on both sides. That problem seems to be related to an alignment failure in those sensors. Wait for 15 minutes for the overload protector to reset before operating the garage door opener again.
I recommend that you check the alignment of the sensors first.
